Bill 226: AMENDS ORDINANCE NO. 24-32, AS AMENDED, THE OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAIʻI FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2025 Increases revenues in the Federal Grants – National Instant Criminal Background Check Act Record Improvement Program account ($15,579); and appropriates the same to the National Instant Criminal Background Check Act Record Improvement Program account for a total appropriation of $561,339. Funds would be used to enhance firearms registration, record keeping, and data accessibility. STATE OF HAWAPI BILL NO. 218 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 19, ARTICLE 1, SECTION 19-2, OF THE HAWAPI COUNTY CODE 1983 (2016 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO REAL PROPERTY TAXES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAFI: SECTION 1. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, the invalidity does not affect other provisions or applications of the ordinance that can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to this end the provisions of this ordinance are severable. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect on January 1, 2026.
