REPORT OF THE
COMMITTEE ON FINANCE
Re: Comm. No. 1053/Res. No. 634-24
Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 634-24, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 634-24, transmitted by Director of Finance Diane Nakagawa via Communication
No. 1053, dated September 13, 2024, authorizes the Mayor to enter into a multi -year agreement with
Hawaiian Telcom, Inc. for Centrex Biz Plus Service for the Hawaii Police Department and Hawaii
Fire Department.
This resolution authorizes the Mayor to enter into a three-year agreement at an estimated cost of
$22,875 for the Police Department and $11,730 for the Fire Department, for the new joint
communications center located at 540 Kupuna Place.
There was no discussion on this matter.
Pursuant to Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 46-7, the Mayor of the County of Hawaii is authorized
to execute, on behalf of the County, an agreement and related documents with Hawaiian Telcorn Inc.
for the purpose as described above.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 634-24, and
recommends its adoption.
