Comm. 715
9/28/24
Again, I am wiring to ask,
PLEASE HOLD OFF ON THIS BILL UNTIL YOU
HAVE ALL OF THE INFORMATION FROM THE
ECONOMIC IMPACT STUDY!
Why are the co-authors of this bill so hell-bent on pushing it through without all of
the information? Please do the right thing and delay the passage of Bill 121, and
draft after draft, until the impact study is completed in 2025.
I oppose Bill 121 and all that it stands for and the freedom it takes away. The
squatters in our neighborhood are allowed to have 20+ dead cars on the property
and a ton of dogs with no issues, fees, or fines. They are able to run their chop
shop without any laws stopping them and keep everyone up as late as they want
yelling, fighting and grinding metal. They were able to harbor people hiding from
the police on multiple occasions so much that our properties were covered with
police searching for them on the run. Yet a calm, family business that hosts
guests face $2,500, $5,000 and then $10,000 fines if we keep operating. This Bill
does nothing other than benefit the co-authors that made some apparent promise
they have to keep at the expense of so many families and individuals trying to
make an honest living.
To all of you voting, please wait to solidify any details on Bill 121 until after the
economic study is complete.
The co-authors of this bill have zero sense of reality and what people face if this
bill passes. They look desperate, eager and shady for trying to push through all
of these details before the study is complete. What's the rush? More important,
what is your plan for all of the people you will be putting out of business and
possibly on the street? Do you even care or you'll just let life happen to them
after you have taken it all? By pushing this bill, you will be shifting poor areas
into poverty, but maybe that's the plan. I think your interest is in the wrong place.
You are looking to damage something that is not damaged. Great plan! Gfy!
