Aloha Council,
Again I implore you to consider the far reaching affects of Bill 121, and, please, listen to the
outpouring Ofdissent for it. \8/8did not ask for this, VVedOnot want it.
We want you to enforce bill 108.
We do not want you to require hosted rentals to be registered. It is gross overreach, and
now that the Hawaii Supreme Court has ruled against allowing STVRaonagriculture land, if
you require registration, the ptanning department will be forced to deny apptications on ag
tand and local famities who rely on this rentat income will be priced out of their homes.
Non -conforming use permits for hosted rentats on agriculture tand? Also denied.

Hamakua coast would be approved. Half of Palisades is zoned ag, and you'd require a
person to rent out the same house as they live in. No ohanas? No accessory dwetting
units? Really?
You just passed bit[ 123 that says you can have up to three aclu's on a property in the RS,
RD, RA, FA, and A districts (Section 25-6-31 (a)) and one can be a vacation rentat (Section
25-G-38\.|nBill 121Section 25-4-16.1(2)contradicts that: "the transient accommodation
rental shall not be permitted in an additional dwelling, additionat dwetting unit, or ohana
| feet you aren't taking abroad view, and really seeing what the impact will be. | don't think
you understand the ramifications of this tegistation. At the very [east, KNOW what you're
doing before you write it into taw. Wait for the economic impact study. Really took at what
zone rentals are in (mostly ag because that's what we have), see what you're doing.
