1 apologize for previous ennails. I do not support this bill and ask that you not either.
This bill allows the planning department to take people's land and it has a filing fee of $500 if they
want to oppose it. Plus, they'll need to jump through hoops.
They're also allowing the planning director to amend the general plan at any time.
Please oppose this bill.

economic diversity). This bill will give people a chance to alter the GP
and have a say in what happens to our island!
The GP promotes development without clarity, loopholes, favorable
outcomes for offshore investors, urban densification, and sprawl. Being
vague will not protect the regeneration of Hawaii cultural landscape and
land -to -sea relationships.
The General Plan is very unclear. It doesn't produce useful, considerate
rules or regulations to protect Hawai'i from becoming another Lahaina
(water diversion and overdevelopment, over -tourism, and over -gated and
exclusive wealthy communities).
Please oppose bill 181 D2.
