A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR THE PHASE THREE EXPANSION OF ROOTS
SKATEPARK AT KAMEHAMEHA PARK IN COUNCIL DISTRICT 9.
WHEREAS, the Roots Skatepark provides the North Kohala community with a safe recreational environment for skateboarding; and
WHEREAS, while a substantial amount of funding, materials, and labor for the construction of Roots Skatepark has been donated by local community members, additional funds are needed
for Phase three of the expansion at the skatepark; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation has previously committed to provide funding assistance for necessary construction expenses; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 9 will be appropriated to the Department of Parks and Recreation for expenses
relating to the Phase three expansion of Roots Skatepark at Kamehameha Park in Council District 9.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai‘i hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
