BILLS FOR ORDINANCES Bill 216: AMENDS ORDINANCE NO. 24-32, AS AMENDED, THE OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAIʻI FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2025 Appropriates revenues in the Federal Grants – Emergency Solutions Grants Program account ($271,806); and appropriates the same to the Emergency Solutions Grants Program account ($251,421) and Emergency Solutions Grants Program – Administration account ($20,385). Funds would be used for street outreach, emergency shelters, homelessness prevention, rapid re-housing assistance, and data collection through the Homeless Management Information System. Page 3 FC-46 October 15, 2024 Bill 218: AMENDS CHAPTER 19, ARTICLE 1, SECTION 19-2, OF THE HAWAIʻI COUNTY CODE 1983 (2016 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO REAL PROPERTY TAXES Amends the definition of “Affordable rental rate” to mean a monthly rent not to exceed the most recent affordable rental guideline for 100 percent of the area median income as established by the Hawaiʻi housing finance and development corporation.
