HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 695 Draft 01 2022-2024 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF A SECURITY CAMERA SYSTEM TO THE COUNTY OF HAWAIʻI DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION. WHEREAS, MPI Security is donating a security camera system to the County of Hawai‘i Department of Parks and Recreation; and WHEREAS, this donation, valued at approximately $9,749, will be installed at the Princess Abigail Wahīika‘ahu‘ula Kawānanakoa Gym in Keaukaha, Hawai‘i; and WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaiʻi County Charter, provides that the council, on behalf of the county, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities, or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate; and WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the acceptance of this donation; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I, , in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaiʻi County Charter, the County of Hawaiʻi, accepts this donation. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation and a copy of this resolution be sent to MPI Security, 116 Hualālai St. #201, Hilo, HI 96720, acknowledging this generous donation. BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this resolution to the Department of Parks and Recreation, the Department of Finance, and the Office of Management.
