Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 692-24, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 692-24, transmitted by Committee Member Ashley L. Kierkiewicz via
Communication No. 1127, dated October 21, 2024, authorizes the Planning Department to award
funds to the Leilani Estates Neighborhood Watch through the Geothermal Relocation and
Community Benefits Program for improvements to Leilani Estates Community Park.
This resolution provides $435,000 in grant funds to support the revitalization efforts to the Leilani
Estates Community Park.
Alan Morrow of the Leilani Community Association was present for questions.
Ms. Kierkiewicz provided background on this measure.
Committee Member Jenn Kagiwada asked who would maintain the park, as it is not a county park.
Mr. Morrow confirmed that they would manage its maintenance.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 692-24, and
recommends its adoption.
