SUBJECT: Request to Postpone November 20, 2024 Hearing on Bill No. 169, Draft 3
regarding proposed Amendments to Change of Zone Ordinance No. 02-131
Tax Map Key: (3) 7-6-021:016 & 017, H61ualoa, North Kona, Hawaii
On behalf of Kona Three LLC, the Applicant and landowner affected by the above -
referenced bill, we would like to request a postponement of an anticipated hearing on the bill
tentatively scheduled for November 20, 2024 as requested by Councilme nber Rebecca Villegas
in her memo dated October 24, 2024 and referenced as Communication No. 896,214,
Kona Three LLC requests the courtesy of a postponement as it wishes to focus on its
efforts to negotiate with the Director of Finance regarding the possible acquisition of the subject
properties by the County utilizing Public Access, Open Space, and Natural Resources
Preservation Fund, as directed by the Council's Resolution No. S61 24. The Applicant is
pursuing negotiations with the County in good faith, and wishes to not be distracted in its
ongoing efforts by any concurrent proceedings.
We hope that the Council finds this request sincere and reasonable. Should you have any
