I am writing with a heavy heart regarding the proposed expiration of Nonconforming Use Certificates
(NUCs) upon the sale of property, as outlined in Bill 121. This amendment stands to significantly devalue
my property and undermine the investment I have made over the years.
When I purchased my property,the NUC was a critical factor in the decision. It represented not just a
piece of paper but a tangible asset that added substantial value to my home. Knowing that I could pass
this onto future buyers provided a sense of security for my family's financial future.
The proposed change feels like a rug being pulled out from under me. It threatens to erase a significant
portion of my property's value, which could have devastating financial consequences.This isn't just
about numbers; it's about the hard work, dedication, and hope that I've poured into my home.
I respectfully urge you to reconsider this provision. It's crucial to protect the investments and property
rights of residents who have complied with all existing laws and regulations.
