Subject: Bill 121 testimony
To whom it may concern,
I would like to submit testimony on bill 121. I am a teacher on the Island, working in a rural area
to service the needs of our children. In order to make ends meet, I rent a part of my house as a
short-term rental. Being in a rural area, although I am in a community with less than an acre of
land, it is zoned as agricultural land. If the bill goes forward, I will no longer be able to operate a
short-term rental or mid-term rental in my own home. This is unconstitutional and would not stand
up in federal court.
I ask that you change the wording concerning operations of short term rentals on agricultural land
for on site hosts.
