Eliminating these nonconforming homes iSdetrimental tOthe community and will not increase housing 8s majority of these homes are oceanfront, and ifeliminated from the transient accommodation rentals shall not be rented to locals of Hawaii as they are very expensive properties with high monthly rents. If nonconforming homes are eliminated from transient accommodation the only thing that will happen is that they will be bought by |uxury2nd 0rSnd hOrn2 buyers and left empty most Ofthe year and NOT increase housing for anybody. Please dolet this happen! My personal story on how vacation rentals benefit me and the community is that I worked my whole life to acquire this oceanfront house to retire into and contribution tOthe community when | retire. Now my whole |ife'swork will beended ifyou eliminate nonconforming homes; as|will not beable tOkeep the house maintained as the short term rental income pays for the high level of maintenance required. Please a||mvv me to contribute to the community. These new regulations will hurt all property's value, the local economy, and the community 8tlarge, 8s eliminating nonconforming homes will not increase housing but remove jobs for the community peoples: of cleaners, maintenance, property mangers, etc. Please help us not ruin us. At a minimum can you please keep the luxury ocean front houses continue to have unhosted transient accommodations; maybe by changing those into resort zoning PLEASE!
