I have a hosted short-term rentat that provides housing for someone who lives on the istand, and
employment for severat peopte who Live on the isLand inctuding cteaners, a Lawn care professional., repair
peopLe, and many others. You can't separate the short-term rentat from the benefits that it provides. If
you shut down short-term rentals you are also affectingjobs and the overatt economy.

Local residents. Forcing short-term rentaLs out of business is nothing more than a short-term soLution.
Housing is a constantly growing need that continuatty needs to be sated as Long aSthe p0piU8ti0Dis
growing. In order to stay ahead of housing needs many city counsets work on things like changing zoning
to allow for more dense housing or clearing some of the regulations that burden builders. Those are
actions you can take that wiLl. effectively address the housing shortage in the Long-term. I encourage you
