RESOLUTION NO. 728 24
A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE HAWAI`I COUNTY COUNCIL'S HEARTFELT
GRATITUDE TO CYNTHIA "CINDY" EVANS FOR HER YEARS OF DEDICATED
SERVICE TO THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I.
WHEREAS, Council Member Cynthia "Cindy" Evans (hereinafter "Cindy Evans")
represented Council District 9 in the 2022-2024 Council term; and
WHEREAS, during her time on the Council, Cindy Evans served as the Chair of the
Committee on Governmental Operations and External Affairs and Vice Chair of the Committee
on Finance; and
WHEREAS, Cindy Evans has compiled an exemplary attendance and voting record
during her years in office as Council Member; and
WHEREAS, prior to serving on the Council, Cindy Evans served her community as a
Hawaii State Representative for District 7 from 2002-2018; and
WHEREAS, Cindy Evans will complete her term of office at noon on Monday,
December 2, 2024; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that it
hereby extends its sincerest gratitude to Council Member Cindy Evans for all of her years of
service and offers its best wishes for her continued health, success, happiness, and good fortune
in her personal and professional life.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Honorable Council Member Cindy Evans.
