Subject: Opposition to Bill 169, Draft 3 (No postponing decisions)
Aloha County Council Members!
I OPPOSE Bill 169, Draft 3. 1 am also urging you NOT to postpone your votes. Many respected
organizations and the community have already been extremely clear in rejecting the proposal.
for numerous important causes. To postpone decision making now would raise many
concerns for ethical. leadership. And further raise the specter of developers gaming the
system and shoppingfor unschooled council votes.
And just to address our representatives who wish to see this bill passed. I ask again for you
to listen to the recommendations by our residents, credible organizations, and professionals
that this land is not fit for any development, period. Instead, open space preservation is
recommended to restore a riparian forest in this natural FEMAfloodptain to protect our
community below white addressing our major infrastructure concerns.

extension and developing this property on the FEMA FLoodway. We Lack the proper infrastructure to

guaranteed as truly "affordabLe", but being designed in the worst fLood area of this parceL, with a gated
community above, creates aaociaijustice issue for aiiarea residents.
