Please vote no to this extension of this 40-year-old project for another 10 years. ;
Expired and moving ahead should be a no go. Much has changed in this area and not getting better.
This land has two major flooding, and your last hearing on this matter, one was the County responsibility,
the other the developer. Question is who will be accountable for properties sitting below who will be
flooded due to this project. Lawyers will target who?
Holualoa above this project has so much private owners grading their lots. What used to be trees are no
longer,
or getting less and less. There's been more rain ever in this particular area.
Already opposed by the County of Hawai'i Resources Commission. This land is of Mana.
This flooding in September was sudden, weeks prior to your visit to this land.
The conversation was the roads are flooding. I drove pass Pualani Subdivision adjacent to this and the
bottom
was flooded on the road. I drove past and fronting this
Kona Three LLC lot I saw 3 areas of rain flowing onto Kuakini Highway.
Kuakini Highway cannot handle any more Rain flooding and Cars, period. Congestion, back-to-back
traffic every day.
The Hawaiian Trail on this lot needs to be restored and protected. This is Historic.
This path was used to get Mauka where there was constant flow of water for agricultural.
But, now too many more subdividing, bulldozing on Hualalai Road causing extreme flooding to this area.
Accidents at this intersection needs to be counted, its constant. Where is the traffic study?
