There are a lot of developments that have been approved ALL over Big Island. AM Drive has new developments going up and land that has been sold for future development from one side to the other side of this only two -lanes road. That has serious traffic because of a stop sign and how much development is already on this road and more development has been approved for the future. There are affordable housing going up all over the Big Island as well. Hina Lani has just opened up housing and there are many other developments in this area going up as we speak. Again I am asking you to please look at the island's resources because they still need to be addressed and it seems more developments Keep being approved without the Resource Issues being fully addressed as of yet. This petition is asking you to STOP APPROVING MORE DEVELOPMENTS AND START ADDRESSING RESOURCE ISSUES. Please hear our voices and OPPOSE BILL 169 and please start looking into how Big Island's Resources are handling all the new developments that have been approved so far because more are coming that have also been approved. Additionally, many other matters must be considered such as additional strains on Kona's sewer system, potable water supplies, and.transportation infrastructure. There will be years of noise disturbances throughout the neighborhood. Do the neighbors in the area support the project as proposed? That's a good first question to ask. Given the lack of health professionals hospital facilities, adequate roads (have these developers tried to drive from the airport to Kealakekua in the afternoon lately?), reliable water pumps schools and so forth how exactly do they propose to help the community deal with these issues? Will they build a modern hospital? Or a few modern schools? Provide a few dozen new doctors and nurses? It's unlikely in the extreme. I am against this development and any extensions they seek. So adding another 450-900 cars on the road doesn't make sense.
