Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate the following named people to
serve on the Kailua Village Design Commission:
• Vonnie Lyons is a 43-year resident of Hawaii and was
employed by the Kamehameha Investment Corporation as
the Managing Director of the Keauhou Visitors
Association (1975-1994). Ms. Lyons will be replacing
Fanny Au Hoy whose term had expired on December 31,
1996.
• Lloyd S. Nakano is a 36-year resident of Hawaii and is
the General Manager of the King Kamehameha Kona Beach
Hotel since 1996. Prior to that, he was employed by
the Kona Village Resort (1994-1996) and the Four
Seasons Regent Hotels and Resorts (1988-1994).
Mr. Nakano will be replacing Gregory G. Ogin whose
term had expired on December 31, 1996.
• Garrett Webb is a 19-year resident of Hawaii and is a
self-employed landscaper DBA Kalaoa Gardens since
1987. Mr. Webb will be replacing J. Curtis Tyler
whose position became vacant on December 2,.1996.
