RESOLUTION NO. 9-4 2
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PAY FOR USE OF THE KONA TROLLEY FOR
THE WEST HAWAI`I COUNTY BAND DURING THE KONA CHRISTMAS PARADE.
WHEREAS, the West Hawaii County Band, a civic band and sub -unit of the Hawaii
County Band, is comprised of local musicians in Kona that perform at monthly concerts, civic
events, cultural events and parades on the west side of Hawaii island; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting funds for rental of the
Kona Trolley to transport the band musicians and their instruments to perform at the Kona
Christmas parade, that is scheduled for December 14, 2024; and
BE IT RESOLVED BY 'THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 8 will be appropriated to the Department of
Parks and Recreation to pay for use of the Kona Trolley for the West Hawaii County Band
during the Kona Christmas Parade in 2024.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby
transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance, and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
