A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO ASSIST THE ANIMAL CONTROL AND PROTECTION
AGENCY WITH PURCHASING PORTABLE ANIMAL KENNELS.
WHEREAS, the Animal Control and Protection Agency (ACPA) was created to provide for the establishment and maintenance of County pounds and to provide island-wide animal control services;
and
WHEREAS, the ACPA enforces County and State laws relating to dangerous and/or vicious dogs, stray animals, impoundment, animal licensing, microchipping, and cruelty and neglect investigations;
and
WHEREAS, the ACPA is requesting funds to purchase new animal kennels to help ensure the safe transport of animals as well as the safety of ACPA officers when responding to animal control
calls and rescues; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 6 will be appropriated to the Animal Control and Protection Agency to purchase
portable animal kennels.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai‘i hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
