COUNTY OF HAWAIII <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />STATE OF HAWAI'I <br />29 25 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A <br />DONATION OF MATERIALS AND LABOR TO REMODEL A MOBILE <br />OFFICE TRAILER. <br />WHEREAS, the University of the Nations, Kona Inc. is donating materials and labor <br />to remodel a mobile office trailer for the County of Hawaii Fire Department; and <br />WHEREAS, the labor and materials, valued at approximately $7,000, will be to <br />upgrade the trailer facility, which is currently utilized for training purposes by County <br />Lifeguards at Kahalu`u Beach; and <br />WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, provides that the <br />council, on behalf of the county, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities, or other <br />personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate; and <br />WHEREAS, the Fire Department recommends the acceptance of this donation; now, <br />therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I, , in <br />accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, the County of <br />Hawaii, accepts this donation. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation and a copy of this <br />resolution be sent to University of the Nations, Kona Inc., 75-5851 Kuakini Hwy #18, Kailua- <br />Kona, Hawaii 96740. <br />
