Brown Deputy Director In the current Budget Ordinance 24-32, $495,000 is appropriated in the Police Department's HCPD Roadblock Program account. Additional federally derived funds in the amount of $37,839.15 are being provided by the State of Hawaii Department of Transportation and the National Priority Safety Program to fund operations focused on reducing the number of drivers operating a vehicle while impaired. Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating these additional funds into the Hawaii County Police's HCPD Roadblock Program account, bringing the total appropriation to $532,839.15.
