This appointment was effective at 12:00 noon on Monday, December 2, 2024. Ms. Nakagawa was appointed Deputy Finance Director in May 2022. She started at the County of Hawaii as the Purchasing Agent in 2019. Prior to working for the County of Hawaii, Ms. Nakagawa was the Deputy Economic Development Director for the City of Phoenix. Enclosed is a copy of Ms. Nakagawa's resume. Ms. Nakagawa will serve a term co-terminus with my tenure, which will end on December 4, 2028. Pursuant to Rule 5(6)(a) of the Rules of Procedures and Organization of the Council of the County of Hawaii, I respectfully request that this nomination be placed on the next available Committee meeting.
