SUBJECT: APPOINTMENT OF HSAC OFFICER/ALTERNATE FOR FY 2001
It is requested that the Hawaii County Council appoint one of its members to serve as an
officer of Hawaii State Association of Counties (HSAC) for the term July 1, 2000 to
June 30, 2001.
It is further requested that Hawaii County Council also appoint one of its members to
serve as an Alternate.
Cun-ently serving on HSAC Executive Committee are:
Al Smith, HSAC Vice President
Curtis Tyler, Alternate
Please forward your appointees to HSAC President Rene Mansho by April 15, 2000.

RE: APPOINTMENT OF HSAC OFFICER/ALTERNATIVE FOR FY 2001
Pursuant to Section l (e) of Rule 4 of the rules of Procedure of the Council of the County
of Hawaii, this written approval is submitted in regards to the Appointment of HSAC
Officer/Alternative for FY 2001, waiving said referral from the Committee of Finance in
order that appropriate action can be taken by the Council.
In reviewing the contents of the referral, it is deemed advisable that such waiver be
granted.
