The Department of Parks and Recreation wishes to provide $50,000 to Roots Advocates for
Youth, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. This grant will be used towards their Roots Skate Park
Phase three project at Kamehameha Park in North Kohala.
Enclosed is a resolution approving the Department of Parks and Recreation to provide $50,000 to
Roots Advocates for Youth, pursuant to Hawaii County Code (2016 Edition as amended)
Chapter 2, Article 25, Section 2-139(a)(3)(A).

the island
