Re: Resolution Deleting and Creating Position
Enclosed is a resolution deleting Position No. 1160, Equipment Operator III and
creating a Laborer II position. The need for laborers is much needed for the
highways division of the Department of Public Works to be more productive
and efficient.

A. REQUEST:
Equipment Operator III to Laborer II (Position No. 1160)
No Funding Required.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL BEETS AS NEEDED):
The need of Laborers to do the many detail type of work
is always needed. (Weedeating, manual type work,
flagging) Dedication of Roads to the County with no
increase of additional staff required our Division to
look within for being more productive and efficient.
Our Division has re-organized our equipment inventory to
be more flexible. New types of equipment purchased that
is more capable of doing multiple tasks provided the
opportunity to have a much needed Laborer position.
This reallocation is needed at this time. The need for
additional Laborers is very much needed in ail Districts.
