Re: Resolution to negotiate a multi -year lease

Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the County of Hawaii to negotiate a multi -year lease (with
one renewal option of five years) with the Association of Apartment Owners of Kailua Village, a
nonprofit organization, without notice or appraisal, for the real property identified as Tax Map
Key (3) 7-5-008:027. The parcel will be utilized for visitor parking and fire lane access purposes
for the Kailua Village Condominium.

B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
The Association of Apartment Owners of Kailua Village would like to extend their lease of tax map key (3) 7-
5-008:027 which is used as their guest parking area. The lease ieproposed for eninitial five 83year term at
$3.00O.00per onnurn. Lessee shall have one (1) option to extend the term for an additional five (5) years at
arate tobeagreed upon prior tothe option period.
