I have known Corey for many years, having grown up in the Hamakua community. He comes from a wonderful family, and his upbringing reflects the values of hard work, humility, and dedication to community. While living in Hamalcua, Corey established himself as a person of integrity and a strong work ethic, qualities that have continued to define him throughout his life. During my time serving on the Hawaii County Council, I had the opportunity to work with Corey on various matters. He was always extremely helpful, approachable, and willing to go the extra mile to ensure that tasks were completed efficiently. His pleasant demeanor and collaborative nature made him a joy to work with, and he consistently demonstrated a genuine desire to contribute to the betterment of Hawaii County. Mayor Kimo Alameda's decision to appoint Corey as the Director of Information Technology is a reflection of Corey's qualifications and his ability to lead. I have no doubt that his knowledge, dedication, and commitment to excellence will make him a tremendous asset in this role. Thank you for allowing me to share my wholehearted support for Corey Stone's appointment.
