I had the privilege of working with Bill during his tenure as the Director of Human Resources for the County of Hawaii. During that time, i witnessed his professionalism, composure, and unwavering respect for those he worked with. Bill's calm demeanor, thoughtful approach to problem -solving, and ability to foster collaboration made him an invaluable leader in his previous role. As Managing Director, Bill will not only serve as the primary management aide to Mayor Kimo Alameda, overseeing the administrative functions of all county departments, agencies, boards, and commissions, but he will also work closely with communities throughout Hawaii County. This dual responsibility requires a leader with exceptional organizational skills, the ability to build strong relationships, and a deep understanding of the diverse needs of our island's communities. Bill's experience in managing complex systems, coupled with his ability to engage with individuals and groups in a respectful and approachable manner, uniquely qualifies him for this role. His commitment to transparency, collaboration, and excellence will ensure that he serves as a bridge between the county government and the people it serves. Mayor Kimo Alameda has made an excellent choice in appointing Bill Brilhante as Managing Director am confident that Bill will excel in this position, fostering a spirit of unity and progress across Hawaii County.
