l am Robert J. Santos (nameftitle) and I support construcUcn of the
Mchouli Street Extension as presently confgured
This issue has been approved as part of the County General Plan since 1 X59, os part of
a necessary netUdork of access expansion m the Kaumana area The record rndicates
many levels of community meetings and discussion, formal pubic he=rings and a Finding
of No Signir"icant impact (FONSI) in 1990.
The intent of all roadway projects in the area is to provide several safe, e*flc~~enr,
alternative routes to alleviate congestion and open up cernienient access from Kaumana
to Waiakea, encourage traffic dispersal along several corndors including McnoGii,
Puainako and Ponahawai. This is a long-term project with federal, slate and cc~ my
participation and ~~~ill provide much needed linkage Tor the growing population mauka of
Komohana Street.
We encourege concerned parties to consuli directly ~niith qualifed traffic management
specialists and engineers to resolve perceived concerns.
