Notice is hereby given that the Hawai‘i County Council will be conducting this meeting via interactive
conference technology (ICT) pursuant to Hawai‘i Revised Statutes §92-3.5. Council Members will be
participating via ICT at the:
Hilo Council Chambers, Hawai‘i County Building, 25 Aupuni Street, First Floor, Room 1401
Members of the public may also attend from this location.
Public attendance via Courtesy Site is available at the following locations:
Pāhoa Council Office, 15-2879 Pāhoa Village Road; and
Ocean View Community Association, 92-8924 Leilani Circle.
If a Courtesy Site is unavailable and/or participation is disrupted, the scheduled meeting will continue.

PURSUANT TO SECTION 201H-38 OF THE HAWAIʻI REVISED STATUTES,
FOR THE HUALĀLAI COURT AFFORDABLE HOUSING PROJECT IN
HILO, HAWAIʻI, COVERED BY TAX MAP KEY: 2-4-028:009

The Applicant requests an exemption from Single-Family Residential District
7,500 feet zoning requirements, to be replaced with Multiple-Family Residential
1,000 Square Feet requirements, to allow for greater density and an exemption
from Sections 5-7-1 and 5-7-3 of the Hawaiʻi County Code regarding permit plan
reviews and permit fees to reduce costs for the production of 104 affordable
residential rental units, to be located at 364 Hualālai Street in South Hilo.
