TMK: 6-2-13:16 and portions of 1, 7, 15 & 17 This is to acknowledge receipt on April 12, 2000, of your request filed on behalf of Mauna Kea Properties, Inc. for a determination of a nonsignificant zoning change in accordance with Section 25-2-45 of Chapter 25, Hawaii County Code, and Planning Department Rule 8. Your request is to adjust the boundaries of two areas affecting three separate zoning districts without increasing the zoning densities for those areas. Specifically, the following are the zoning districts and land areas are involved: 1. Village Commercial - 10,000 square feet (CV-10): 7.110 acres. a. To Open: 1.166 acres. b. To RM-I5: 5.944 acres. 2. Multiple Residential - 15,000 square feet (RM-15): 9.332 acres. a. To Open: 2.222 acres. b. To CV-10: 7.110 acres. 3. Open (O): 3.388 acres. To RM-15: 3388 acres. Comm. Page 2 April 17, 2000 Although the zoning boundaries will be transferred from one area to another, the original amount of land area for each zoning district remains the same. The relocation of the affected zoning districts from one area to another will not result in any increase in zoning densities. Upon review of the request, we have determined that it complies with the criteria set forth in Section 25-2-45 (a)(1) of Chapter 25, Hawaii County Code, for detennining nonsignificant zoning changes. The adjustment of boundaries will not result in an increase to the current zoning districts. We, therefore, administratively grant the requested nonsignificant zoning changes.
