A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO HAWAI‘I DISTRICT
4 LITTLE LEAGUE, INC., FOR THE PURCHASE AND SHIPPING OF A PORTABLE PITCHING MOUND.
WHEREAS, Hawai‘i District 4 Little League, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that is included in the 5 chartered leagues of Little League Baseball, Incorporated within the
State of Hawai‘i; and
WHEREAS, the Hawai‘i District 4 Little League (HD4LL) promotes healthy and well-balanced lifestyles for our communities by providing our island’s youth opportunities to participate in
both recreational and competitive team sports; and
WHEREAS, the HD4LL is requesting funds to help purchase and ship a portable pitching mound to be used by Little League participants during baseball practices and games held at various
ball fields around Hawai‘i island; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation supports opportunities that promote a healthy lifestyle for our island keiki and residents alike; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(C) of the Hawai‘i County Code, Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution identifying
the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 6 will be appropriated to the Department of Parks and Recreation to provide
a grant to Hawai‘i District 4 Little League, Inc., for the purchase and shipping of a portable pitching mound.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai‘i hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
