A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF GILLIG BUS PARTS TO THE COUNTY OF HAWAIʻI MASS TRANSIT AGENCY.
WHEREAS, Oahu Transit Services is donating various Gillig bus parts to the County of Hawai‘i Mass Transit Agency; and
WHEREAS, this donation, valued at approximately $176,899, consists of Gillig parts that will be used to repair buses currently operating in Hawai‘i County; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaiʻi County Charter, provides that the council, on behalf of the county, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities, or other personal
property or of real estate or any interest in real estate; and
WHEREAS, the Mass Transit Agency recommends the acceptance of this donation; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaiʻi County Charter, the County of Hawaiʻi, accepts this donation.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this resolution to the Mass Transit Agency, the Department of Finance, and the Office of Management.
