Re: Comm. No. 88/Bill No. 20
Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 20, reports as follows:
Bill No. 20, transmitted by Finance Director Diane Nakagawa via Communication
No. 88, dated January 2, 2025, amends Ordinance No. 24-32, as amended, the Operating Budget for
the County of Hawaii for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025.
This bill appropriates revenues in the Federal Grants — Rural Emergency Medical Demonstration
Project account ($1,000,000); and appropriates the same to the Rural Emergency Medical
Demonstration Project account, to be used towards the Rural Emergency Medical Communications
Demonstrations Project, which focuses on enhancing lifeline capabilities in rural communities.
Civil Defense Administrator Talmadge Magno appeared in chambers for questions.
There was no discussion on this matter.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 20, and recommends
its passage on first reading.
