Dear County Council. Members,
I am a supporter of Puako for Reefs. I hope collaboration with the County can continue with the new
administration to prioritize efforts to save this reef and its economic impact on the Big Island.
Puako for Reefs asks the Department of Environmental Management to partner with them.
By prioritizing the project and allocating the necessary resources, a sewer system can be
completed within the next four years. This would not only save a vital environmental asset,
the Puako Reef, but also deliver a significant win for Hawaii County in wastewater
management.
