Aloha Honorable Members of the Hawaii County Council,
I am writing to express my strong support for the East Hawaii Cultural Center's 5th Annual
Youth Art Month Kalakaua Park Project. This initiative provides vital opportunities for youth
across East Hawaii to engage in creative expression and arts education, which are essential to
personal growth, academic achievement, and cultural understanding.
The festival not only enriches the lives of young artists but also revitalizes a historically
significant area in our community. By hosting interactive art installations, performances, and
activities, the project fosters community bonds and showcases the incredible talents of our local
youth.
This event is a testament to the East Hawaii Cultural Center's dedication to inclusivity and the
arts. Its success will bring meaningful benefits to Hilo and surrounding communities, enhancing
