Hawaii County Council,
I support Hualalai Court Proposal.
Hawai'i experiences a severe housing shortage with rents and home prices reaching record
levels imrecent years. The lack ofavailable housing ksthe core issue behind this crisis. I
support the Huela}aiCourt project because it helps people live iQthe community they grew op
in. Too often, people are forced to move out of Hilo in search of more affordaNe housing,
separating them from friends, fenl#y, amd fa[ni|iaraunnundings. By creating affordable and
accessible housing options, vve can ensure that people ofall generations have the chance to
stay close to their'ohana and contribute to the community they've always called home. I
strongly encourage you to approve this project for future generations.
