Subject: Support for Hualalai Court Workforce Housing Project
Aloha,
We strongly support the Hualalai Court Affordable Workforce Housing Project in Hilo. This project
holds significant promise in addressing the critical need for affordable housing options for our island's
workforce, including the essential social service professionals who contribute to the well-being of our
communities.
As an organization dedicated to ending homelessness and providing housing opportunities on Hawaii Island,
HOPE Services relies on skilled and compassionate social workers to deliver vital community services. The
high cost of housing on the Big Island presents a significant barrier to recruiting and retaining qualified
professionals.
The Hualalai Court project would provide much -needed affordable housing options, enabling social workers
and other workforce members to live and thrive in the communities they serve.
