A 74-5044 Ane Keohokalole Hwy. — Kailua-Kona, Hawai'i 96740 DATE: January 31, 2025 TO: Members of the Hawaii County Council FROM: Dr. Holeka Goro Inaba, Council Chair SUBJECT: Proposed Amendments to Resolution No. 46-25; RESOLUTION APPROVING THE AWARD OF FUNDS TO VARIOUS NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS FOR PROGRAMS ADDRESSING HOUSING AND HOMELESSNESS BY THE OFFICE OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT. Transmitted herewith are proposed amendments to Resolution No. 46-25. The proposed amendments are illustrated below in Ramseyer format as applied to the current contents of Resolution No. 46-25; material to be deleted is bracketed and stricken, and material to be added is underscored. Due to the limited scope of this amendment, a draft copy of Resolution No. 46-25, in its entirety, that would result if these amendments were adopted is not attached. 1. The last WHEREAS clause is amended to read as follows: "WHEREAS, the Office of Housing and Community Development (OHCD) wishes to provide a total of [$1E 500,000] $10,138,509.48 to these organizations as outlined in "Exhibit A"; now, therefore" 2. The enacting clause is amended to read as follows: "BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I, in accordance with Chapter 2, Article 25, Section 2-139(a)(3)(A) of the Hawaii County Code, the OHCD has approval to provide grants totaling of [$10,500,000] $10 138 509.48 to various nonprofit organizations as specified in "Exhibit A" to provide initiatives and programs addressing housing and homelessness."
