'13 25 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE NOMINATION OF MEMBERS TO THE <br />NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND THE <br />WESTERN INTERSTATE REGION BOARD OF DIRECTORS. <br />WHEREAS, Hawaii County is a member of the Hawaii State Association of Counties <br />(HSAC), the National Association of Counties (NACo), and the Western Interstate Region <br />(WIR); and <br />WHEREAS, the HSAC Executive Committee approved the nominees for the NACo <br />Board of Directors and the WIR Board of Directors for the respective terms beginning <br />January 15, 2025; and <br />WHEREAS, HSAC Bylaws state that Council approval is required to approve the <br />nomination of representatives to the NACo Board of Directors and the WIR Board of Directors; <br />now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI'I that <br />KipuKai Kuali'i of the Kaua'i County Council and Tommy Waters of the Honolulu City Council <br />and are approved to serve on the NACo Board of Directors for the term beginning <br />January 15, 2025. <br />
