Subject: PLEASE Vote NO on Wesley Segawa for Dir of Waste Management
Dear Honorable Council,
Am writing today to ask you to please vote to NOT confirm Wesley Segawa for Director of Waste
Management!
Besides having far more qualified candidates to choose from within Waste management, and Mr.
Segawa having no actual vision or plan for the department on how to reduce waste or divert it in an
innovative and efficient way; unfortunately, Mr. Segawa also comes with a bad reputation and track
record including his having a $4.4 million contract with the county which he failed to disclose
UPFRONT and didn't see any conflict of interest in having! Please, a manager should know better,
but someone with private profiteering shows non -transparency with such an action! It's HINKY!'!!!
Further, Mr. Segawa apparently has a history of illegal campaign contributions.
Please find a better candidate for the Director of Waste Management from WITHIN the department
filled with more than qualified people and do NOT confirm Mr. Segawa into the position.
We, the people of this island, need someone who actually CARES and is KNOWLEDGEABLE in the
department without a track record of questionable ability, management or good judgement.
