Noted here in the Honolulu Advertiser of 2004, charges of money laundering charge contributing campaign of Mayor Jeremy Harris under false names. Stated he was the chairman of the Public Housing Agency, until last year (December 28, 2004) he resigned under pressure from the federal housing officials over allegations of "Mismanagement". Concerns addressed in your previous hearing addressed was conflict of interest. Mentioned was he has one existing contract with the County. Stated was Segawa's company was awarded a $4.4 million contract in June 2024 for construction management services for reconstruction of lave inundated road projects. Per Big Islands Now, county officials confirmed Thursday. Just moving forward, any conflict of interest should be avoided. Management of how our wastewater treatment plants needs someone qualified with experience and hands on knowledge. Wednesday he was unsure if his firm had contracts with the County. He said he is not part of the firm's day to day operations of these contracts but is involved with risk management. Question, the contract of $4.4 million with the County of June 2024 being unsure, this his huge $$ not being able to confirm. Not that it is illegal to make contribution for campaign, transparency as nothing to hide, who did Wesley Segawa contribute to on this current panel of County Council and how much $? And if his wife contributed to this too. This Question is important! Because of his past of contributions of 2004 this 2024 contributions should be addressed to the public. Trust and Transparency for Public Trust! Aloha, Simmy McMichael Kailua Kona https://the.honolutuadvertiser.com/article/2004/Dec/28/ln/tn22p.html Comm.: Ref. To:
