Subject: Strong Opposition to Wesley Segawa for Directory _._
There are many reasons to oppose Mr. Segawa for the Director of Waste Management
Here are just a few:
* This is someone who has actually admitted to knowing nothing about the status of waste
management on our island. Any single staff member or volunteer from either Zero Waste Hawaii or
Recycle Hawaii is heads -and -shoulders more qualified than someone who says he doesn't know
anything.
* Please read the December 28th 2004 article in the Honolulu Advisor about Mr. Segawa and his plea
of'No Contest'to money laundering.
Below is an excerpt:
"A no contest plea means the defendant is not contesting the charge and does not admit guilt. But
based on such a plea, the judge usually finds the defendant guilty. Segawa is hoping the judge does
not accept the plea and gives him the chance to have the charges dropped."
Besides the fact that he is not qualified he is also not trustworthy.
