Subject: Oppose the nomination of Wesley Segawa as Director DEM
Aloha Council Members, and mahalo for receiving my testimony in opposition of the nomination of
Wesley Segawa as Director of the Department of Environmental Management (DEM).
Community leaders have raised concerns of conflict of interest, questionable back group and
preparedness for the position and I echo their views. At this important precipice in history, having a
qualified candidate in this position is paramount to the future of our island.
