I am testifying today in opposition to Resolution 46- 25, which is proposing to award $400,000 in funding to Neighborhood Place of Puna for the Anchor Point Youth Program. I urge the Council to reevaluate the details surrounding how these funds will be utilized, particularly in light of concerns regarding the actions of Paul Norman, the Director of Neighborhood Place of Puna. It is crucial that taxpayer funds are allocated to organizations with a clear commitment to ethical practices, transparency, and respect for the community. By ensuring that funds are directed to organizations with pono intentions —those that uphold integrity and prioritize our the future of our keiki—we can better serve our community and maximize the impact of taxpayer dollars. Mahalo for the opportunity to testify, Lynn Boyes 96740
