Subject: Support for Resolution 46-25
I'm a resident of Hawaii County District Five writing to express my support for Resolution 46-25, and to urge
the County Council to be part of the solution to homelessness in Hawaii County by supporting it as well.
The Council's failure to vote on the resolution as scheduled on January 22, 2025, when contracts for many of
the programs addressing homelessness end on January 31, was reckless and irresponsible. It threatens the
ability of vulnerable people to access services, and it also jeopardizes the jobs of many who have made it their
mission to serve them.
I ask that you pass Resolution 46-25 when it comes before you on January 31, 2025.
