Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 25, reports as follows:
Bill No. 25, transmitted by Finance Director Diane Nakagawa via Communication No. 112, dated
January 16, 2025, amends Ordinance No. 24-32, as amended, the Operating Budget for the County
of Hawaii for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025.
This bill appropriates revenues in the Animal Control Private Contributions account ($2,000); and
appropriates the same to the Animal Control account. Funds would be used for travel expenses for an
Animal Control and Protection Agency staff member to attend the 2025 Best Friends National
Conference.
Animal Control Administrator Matthew Runnelis appeared in chambers for questions.
There was no discussion on this matter.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 25, and recommends
its passage on first reading.
