Re: Comm. No. 113/Bill No. 26
Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 26, reports as follows:
Bill No. 26, transmitted by Finance Director Diane Nakagawa via Communication No. 113, dated
January 16, 2025, amends Ordinance No. 24-32, as amended, the Operating Budget for the County
of Hawaii for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025.
This bill increases revenues in the Federal Grants — Housing Choice Emergency Voucher Program
account ($250,000); and appropriates the same to the Housing Choice Emergency Housing Voucher
Program account, for a total appropriation of $1,650,000. Funds would be used for housing assistance
payment costs for the Emergency Housing Voucher Program.
Committee Chair Matt Kdneali`i-Kleinfelder thanked Housing Administrator Kehaulani Costa for her
work on this matter.
There was no discussion on this matter.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 25, and recommends
its passage on first reading.
